Osiris Figurine

This is a figurine of a man made by KPM around the late 18th century. He is very nicely modeled with lots of details including a cloak, a nice belt and a scepter in his hand. Perfectly handpainted, too. The figurine is in great condition with a tiny bit of wear and the tip of the scepter in his hand is restored. He displays perfectly! The piece is 5.125 inches tall and the base is 1.5 inches square. The figurine is marked underneath with the late 18th century underglaze blue scepter mark and in the back of the base you can see the name Osiris lightly incised. Not sure what this piece has in common with the Egyptian god !? Sorry about the lousy pictures - I am still learning the ins and outs of my new camera :( Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
