Parrot Bird Figurine

This is a superb bird figurine of a parrot made by KPM in Berlin in the early 19th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The little guy or gal is very well modeled and handpainted. Really a very nice figurine! The piece is in great condition with a tiny chip to the back of his red tail feather and a flat chip to the base rim which is not very obvious at all because it blends in well. The figurine is 4.875 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 2.75 inches deep. It is marked with the underglaze blue scepter mark underneath as shown. He does not have his name incsied in the base which is not totally unheard off. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
