Elisabeth Form Pink Ground Cup & Saucer

This is a nice cup and saucer set made by KPM during the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period in the earlier 20th century. The only possible date code I could see is a K for 1911 but from what I found is that this model was not designed until 1915!? Not sure. Either way a very sleek design especially the handle. This form is called Elisabeth and it's not a common one. One of the few that comes in these solid ground colors which look amazing! This set here is a nice pink color with gilding to the top edge, the foot of the cup, the handle and around the well of the saucer. Simple but very elegant! The set is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb and various painted and impressed marks as shown. A slight cut below the mark on each piece denoting them to be second choice. The cup has a tiny paint miss and the saucer a circular tiny spot where the paint is a touch darker. Those are more than likely the reason for them being second choice. Both pieces are in superb condition. The cup is 2 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 6.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $199
