Puce Floral Tea Caddy

This is a tea caddy or jar with its lid made by KPM around 1800. It is hand painted with two large floral arragementsin puce as well as some smaller flowers along the sides and a bit of gold trim to the corners. The lid also has some puce flowers to the sides and top and a very nice flower finial. The caddy and lid are in superbt condition with some very minor wear to the gilding! One tiny petal might have a small chip to the very tip but it's hard to tell and the underside rim of the lid has a very minor flake to it. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as shown. The tea jar is 5.125 inches tall with the lid in place, 2.75 inches wide and 1.875 inches deep.
