Scissor Case

This is a rare scissor case made by KPM around 1780. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. It is handpainted with two scenes one on each side and flowers above it. Also a ribbon design in pink on relief work as well as gold highlights. Lots of small bugs painted throughout. The hinge is made of Sterling. It is in perfect condition with a tiny amount of wear to the gold work. The hinge sticks a bit at the opening mechanism but it works fine. It is 4.75 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 1 inch thick. Marked to the inside lid with the underglaze blue scepter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
