Strawflower Basket

This is a large reticulated basket made by KPM in the late 18th century. It is rare to find these large versions in good condition these days. Nicely handpainted with the old underglaze blue strawflower design. Intertwined branch handles with some applied leaves and flowers coming off their ends. The basket is in great condition with two of the applied flowers having a bit of damage though one seems to be from the making as the blue color is on the side where it was chipped. It displays perfectly. The piece is 3.75 inches tall (including the handles), 9.375 inches wide and 8.625 inches deep. It is marked underneath with their underglaze blue scepter mark as well as a blue number 10 (or something like that) - possibly a blue painter's mark on the footring, three incised lines on the footring, an impressed 10 and another impressed mark that looks like a triangle. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
