Strawflower Coffee Pot

This is a lidded coffee pot made by KPM in the late 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The piece is handpainted with a version of the strawflower pattern people often confuse with the blue onion pattern. Nice ribbed design to the outside as well. Believe it or not the blue painted pieces are really quite uncommon these days since they were really meant for use and were heavily used back in the days and most were broken and lost. The few rare survivers are very nice among the painted piece I must say! The pot is in superb condition. It is 9.875 inches tall with the lid, 7.875 inches tall without the lid and 4.75 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark as well as the normal impressed marks of the period. A very nice piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
