Unusual Serving Dish

This is something I have never seen before which makes it rather unusual. It is some sort of serving dish made by KPM around the turn of the 20th century - circa 1900. It might be for asparagus or something along those lines but like I said I ahve not seen this before so if someone out there knows more about it a quick note would be appreciated! The dish has a flat area with lots of holes in it for drainage as well as a low edge to either side going up into a taller reticualted wall on either side. These are hand painted with a couple of single rose flowers as well as a couple of rose buds and some nice gilding to the inside. The outside has a basketweave relief design to the top rim with a puce and gold trim to the edge. Some more small roses and rose buds as well as some nice gold trim finish off the walls. The dish sits on two feet and a foot rim also decorated with gilding. A strange and unique dish definitely for serving some sort of food. A very decorative dish and if you collect kitchen accessories this is a must have! It displays perfectly but does have a small spots of wear to the gilding (very minor) and a hairline crack to the this part as shown with a view of it from both the top and underside. Impossbile to spot when on display! The dish is 4.125 inches tall, 11 inches wide and 6.625 inches deep. It is marked underneath behind one of the feet with the under glze blue scepter mark as well as the red orb as well as a painter's mark and has the usual impressed marks on the flat area with the holes to it near one side as shown.
