White Footed Egg Vase

This is a rare porcelain egg on three feet with lid made by KPM around 1900. Not sure what its funktion is but it could be a tea caddy, ginger jar, lidded vase or a number of other things. Doesn't really matter since it is a great shape and very decorative :) This one was left white which I haIt brings out all the details of the form with the neat feet with a branch going up them and the flowers above the feet on the jar itself. In this version you can even see the thin stem of the flowers come out of the jar and I am amazed it has suvived this long! The finial on the lid seems to be some kind of flower? The piece is 5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark. It is in great condition with the main body being perfect but the lid has a shallow chip to the tom rim, a small chip to the edge and a small chip to the inside ring. It displays perfectly when put in place and never bothered me any. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
