Young Lady Lithophane

This is a superb lithophane made by KPM in the later 19th century. Simpler in terms of detail compared to many others I have come across but that gives it an Art Nouveau / Jugendstil feel and the scene has a hint of eroticism so it. The plaque is of a beautiful young lady with flowing long hair holding up her shirt just over her breasts. The scene is in an oval but the plaque is rectangular in shape. Lithophanes are not found often made by KPM, most are more modern pieces by lesser quality makers. So having a KPM made piece with a slightly erotic theme is rather unusual. it's a really nice looking piece! It is in great condition with just a tiny chip to the bottom left corner as shown. Small enough to still display perfectly! The piece is marked with the impressed scepter mark over the letters K.P.M and the number 307 and the letter G. underneath as shown. It is of a nice size being just under 6 inches wide and just over 7.25 inches tall. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $899
