Kuznetzov Duck Dish

This is a fun lidded terrine / tureen dish made by M.S. Kuznetsov of Russia - Dmitrovsky Plant between 1891 - 1917 . Often said to be for butter or pate it really could be used for anything nowadays. Nice spot to put your jewelry or in the kitchen for a sauce for example. The box is in the shape of a duck with some nice relief detail to the porcelain and a pink and blue pattern sort of like spongeware / spatterware in Staffordshire back in the 19th century. A fun piece for sure. The dish is in great condition with some paint flaking to the inner eyes and some wear to the gilt highlights around the head and beak. No chips or repairs, etc. Displays superbly. The underside does not have their mark but I don't think this model was made by anyone else so I am certain it is by them and from this period. The dish is about 5 inches tall (at the head) 7.875 inches from beak tip to tail end and 4 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures. kuznetsoff kusnetzoff
