Lacquer Box

This is a lacquer box made in Germany in the beginning of the 19th century. It is handpainted with an erotic scene in the manner of Stobwasser . The scene is of a lady lifting the front of her skirt to warm up by a fire. Fishing gear and box next to her, two houses and a tree behind her and some rocks and flwoers in the front. German saying underneath - Wer will mein kleines Kaetzchen sehen - translates to - who would like to see my little kitty (substitute kitty for another word for the true meaning). The box is in good condition with a spot of wear to the left of the lady. Also the bottom rim of the box has been overpainted since some of the rim must have chipped over time. One spot on outside rim of lid as well. Some general wear and a wax reside where the lid fits over the box maybe to provide a better seal? Doesn't take away from the piece really. Might even be restored better if need be. A rare theme and quite decorative. Not signed. The box is a bit over 0.75 inches tall and 3.75 inches in diameter.
