Lamm Large Amazing Scenic Plate

This is a superb plate painted by the Ambrosius Lamm decorating studio in Dresden in the 1930's. He founded the studio around 1887 and it closed somewhere around the beginning of the second world war. They made very high quality items and this plate here is very much a perfect example of that. It is hand painted with three fantastic scenes that include three people doing different things. The polychrome people are surrounded by gold with a bit of a black design to the top part as well as raised elements to the gold including little hearts. In between these panels are three panels with raised gold deisngs on an ivory ground with a blue ground along the rim with more gold deigns to it. Gold trim to the edge with a riased gold dot ring. The center has a blue ground and gold design medallion to it with a gold ring below the scenes. A bit hard to describe all that detail so have a look at the photos. An amzing plate! f It is marked with their lamb mark as well as Dresden and Made in Saxony though these are covered by a leaf design. Also the number 283 and the name of a porcelain retailer this piece was made for. A gold mark and green x as well. The piece is in superb condition with the tiniest of wear / use marks. Displays perfectly. The plate is 1 inch tall and 10.875 inches in diameter so it is rather large. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
