Lille Floral Plate

This is a plate made by Lille in about 1785. The factory was founded in 1784 by Leperre-Durot which was protected by the Dauphin (hence the red dolphin mark with a crown on its head). The factory closed around 1817 after some changes of ownership over its short existence. The plate is nciely handpainted with a large floral arrangement in the center as well as some smaller flowers and leaves scattered throughout. Brownish trim to the edge. The glaze / surface has an orange peel feel and loook to it. The plate is in good condition with one tiny color chip to the edge of the plate in the brown trim. The plate is marked with the red stencilled dolphin with a crown mark though it isn't the clearest example. It is 1 inch tall and 9.125 inches in diameter.  Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
