Farmer Figurine

This is a figurine made by Limbach in about 1780. It is of a farmer sowing his field with the seeds bag around his neck. He is wearing a hat and nice outfit and is standing on a nicely modeled base painted in green. The figurine is actually marked which is nice to see with the crossed swords type (back to back letter Ls I guess) mark in black underneath. The figurine is in perfect condition with a teeny chip to his hat - looks more like a flaw to the paste that popped and some stray puce color to the base by his front leg. His back leg has a firing flaw to it from the making. The figurine is 5.25 inches tall, 175 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
