Limbach Sugar Dish

This is a lidded sugar dish made by Limbach around 1790. It is handpainted with some nice flowers in puce and green colors and the lid has a nice flower finial on it. The dish is in great condition with some black firing spots, a little paint flaking on four leaves and a little chipping to the flower finial. None of these take away from the piece at all! The dish is 4.25 inches tall and 4.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the pink clover leaf mark as well as a number 9 or 6! Also an old sticker on the inside under the lid. While it is impossible to keep the different clover leaf marks apart when they are underglaze blue only Limbach used them in the colored versions or so they say :) Please email me for more information or photos.
