Limoges Chess Set

This is a rare complete chess set (32 pieces) made by Haviland Limoges in 1962. It was designed by Jean Jacques Prolongeau and is just superb. What makes this set very rare is that it is the large version meaning it is oversized with the king being 6 inches tall and having a diameter of 3.375 inches. The smaller set is 3 inches tall I believe and a bit more common. Both sides are the same type of figures but one side is highlighted with gilding while the other with a grey color. All have a very cheerful design with lots of relief detail. The entire set is in perfect condition and they are marked underneath with the Haviland Limoges France stamp shown in the pictures as well as Ex.No.63. It was probably originally a limited edition of 100 or less but it could mean something else. The smallest piece is the pawn being 4.375 inches tall and 2.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
