Limoges Enamel Perfume

This is a perfume bottle made in the Limoges area of France around the mid to late 19th century. It is made of enamel on silver and is of stunning quality! The bottom as well as the lid are handpainted with a superb polychrome scenic decoration of a couple in a landscape surrounding including a fountain with a putti and cherub on top and a building. The lid has a lady with her sheep on it. The mounts are nicely decorated silver and the bottom underside has a monogram MB in it which might be used as a seal for letters. An amzing piece of the highest quality! The piece is not marked but the style is typical for this area and period. The perfume is in great condition with the original glass stopper and the lid clsoes very tightly. The inside seems to be OK as well though when you turn the piece upside down or shake it there is something loose inside. Nothing comes out and nothing is on the inside so I am assuming there is a glass liner on the inside and between that and the silver something ahs some loose. It doesn't affect the piece at all! The bottle is 3.5 inches tall with a diameter of 1.375 inches. Please email me for more information or photos.
