Limoges Enamel Box w/ Mirror

This is a rare small mirrored pill / snuff / whatever you want it to be box made in the Limoges area of France around the mid 19th century. It is made of enamel on brass and is of superb quality! The top has a scene of a young lady feeding her chicken in a landscape surrounding. The side wall has a flower design to it and the bottom a simple landscape. Brass mounts. The piece is quite heavy for its size mainly due to the mirror on the inside of the top. An amzing piece of very nice quality. The piece is not marked but the style is typical for this area and period. The box is in superb condition with the mirror's silver having oxidixzed over time as shown. Some small dents to the front edge of the brass mounts but it closes nicely and stays shut. The piece is 12 inch tall with a diameter of 2 inches. Please email me for more information or photos.
