Limoges Raised Enamel Jewel Decor Plate

This is a superb plate made by Camille Naudot around 1900. The son of a porcelain merchant, Camille Naudot trained at the Ecole de Sèvres and succeeded his father in about 1889. In order to carry on his research into soft-paste porcelain, he set up a business at Le Raincy in 1893 and a store at 10 rue Auber, Paris. He did some amazing work on Chinese rice grain techniques, copies of 18th century pieces as well as jewelled pieces of which this plate here is a great example! Not something one comes across often at all! The plate is decorated with a gold plant design with the flowers and leaves both being painted in enamel colors that are very raised and translucent kind of like the Seger jewels or the decoration on gold foil on Sevres cup of the 18th century, This gives it a stunning look that is almost 3D in nature. The plate has a very Art Nouveau period feel to it and looks superb. The plate is in great condition with just some use marks to the white center area. It displays perfectly! The piece is marked with an incised mark near a hole in the foot for hanging during the firing that looks to be CN 999. Also an incised Sevres interlaced double L mark with the letters A and B into the glaze and an area where a gilt mark was scratches away as shown. I am certain it is from the Limoges area and one of the better makers as the quality is superb! The plate is 1.125 inches tall and just under 9.5 inches in diameter.
