Limoges Floral & Bugs Compote

This is a really nice compote or cake / cookie stand made by one of the Limoges area makers I think but could be an English maker like Spode as well. Not sure at all. Made in the early to mid 19th century. What I am sure about is that is is one top quality piece and really fun to look at. It is handpainted with lots of flowers, leaves, berries and butterflies and even a lady bug with a nice gold trim to the edges and to the foot which also has a nice design to the paste itself. The painting is of the best quality and the colors quite nice! The piece is in perfect condition with pretty much no wear at all. Sadly this piece has no mark on the underside to determine the exact maker but it is a good quality piece for sure. I always wonder why they don't mark their pieces to show off a bit. The dish is 4.625 inches tall, the top plate has a diameter of 9.25 inches and the bottom foot has a diameter of 4.75 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
