Floral Bough Pot

This is a superb bough / bulb / cache / flower pot made by one of the Paris makers most likely Locre aka Rue de la Fontaine-au-Roi aka La Courtille in the late 18th century. It has a nice shape to it and is hand painted with a large floral arrangement to the front as well as two smaller ones to the sides and lots of nice gilding. The back side is undecorated. The to inside has little pieces jutting out into the pot for a lid to be placed on but the lid is sadly lacking - a very common issues for these types of pieces! The flower pot is not marked underneath but that is common for Paris pieces of this time period. The style of the flower painting points towards it having been made by Locre! The piece is 5.375 inches tall, 8.875 inches wide and 4.635 inches deep. It is in great condition with some gold wear mainly to the top edge and a few small thin chps to the bottom edge some of which were gilded over to hide them very well. The piece displays superbly!
