Locre Love Plate w/Gold Rim

This is a great plate made by Locre aka Rue de la Fontaine-au-Roi aka La Courtille in the 18th century. It is superbly hand painted in the center with a black scene including two doves, a hat, a broom, some other tool as well as some vines and flowers. The scene is surrounded by a black flower garland and the edge of the well has a gold design to it. The rim has a fantastic gold trim design to it which really makes the piece pop! Looking at the scene it was likely given as an engagement or marriage gift as a token for someones love. Not sure my wife would like to see a broom in this sort of thing though :) A really good quality piece! The plate is in great condition with just a little wear as shown and a hairline to the edge which can be seen from the back but is very very ahrd to spot from the front. It still rings like a bell so it is stable and tight. The plate is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed arrow or torches mark as shown. It is 1.25 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter.
