Locre Vase

This is a nice vase made by Rue de la Fontaine au Roi (aka La Courtille or Locre ) in the 18th century. I have never seen a vase by them but many plates and cups, etc. over the years so I am sure they made more vases as well. The vase has a nice shape to it with two handles and the top part is handpainted with lots of nice flowers while the bottom part has some detailed gold design to it. Nice gold trim to edges and handles. The vase is marked underneath with the crossed swords type mark often passed as off as Meissen which was the point of it back then as well as some incised marks that look like letters but are hard to read - these are also quite typical on Paris region porcelain. The vase is 9 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide from handle to handle and 4.5 inches in diameter. The piece is in great condition with some wear to the gilding mainly in the center of the vase as well as a hairline to the top rim which is stable. All in all a very nice piece to display or even use.  Please email me for more information or other pictures.
