Dancing Couple Figurine

This is a great figurine of a dancing couple made by Ludwigsburg between 1759 and 1770 likely towards the earlier part. This is one of their more famous models and one can see why. Superbly modeled and painted with the lady wearing a nice dress and the gentleman a fluffy shirt and dressy jacket. Both figures stand on a nice base highlighted with pink and lots of gilding. The figurine is very well marked with the crown over CC mark in underglaze blue, a puce L as a painters mark, and incised F.C.3.0 as well as an incised ZOM or something like that. Not sure what this all stands for but it is marked in more detail than any other piece I have ever owned by them. The figure is 6.25 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 2.875 inches deep. The figurine displays perfectly but his left arm/hand is restored be it perfectly and invisibly! Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $2249
