Dukatenscheisser Figurine

This is a fun figurine made by Ludwigsburg in the 19th century probably pretty close to the end aorund 1824. Not a piece I have seen by them but the theme is not unusual in German porcelain. It is called the Dukatenscheissen (money shitter) or more nicely put Dukatenmacher (money maker) based on a popular German folk character. You can look it up online if you want more info. An unusual figurine that shows a grown man with his pants down pooping out a gold coin. A nicely modeled and painted piece and very typical for their figurines in modeling and painting! The figure is 3.125 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. Marked with the udner glaze blue CC monogramm as shown. He displays very nicely but sadly the coin has broken off for the most part. A very typical issue for this type of figurine. Still a fun conversation piece and fixable by a decent restorer without too much of a problem or expense. Please email me for more information or photos. Dukatenscheisser Figurine
