Bird Scene Plate #2

This is a plate made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century probably quite early on in about 1763. It is handpainted with a top quality bird scene in the center including two birds sitting in a tree as well as 6 really nice bugs and some gold trim on the edge. The plate is marked with the CC mark under the crown in underglaze blue as well as an impressed small circle over ST and 1R on the footring. The piece is 1.25 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. It is in good condition with three small rim chips only at the edge, some manufacturing flaws which leads me to believe it is a very early piece and a bit of wear with the gold trim being mostly gone. It displays very well! Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $499
