Oettner Scenic Cup & Saucer

This is a great scenic cup and saucer made by Ludwigsburg between 1759 and 1770 and hand painted by the famous Andreas Philipp Öttner . The set is hand painted with a nice scene in the center of the saucer and the front of the cup as well as a couple of single flowers and tiny leaves to hide a few firing flaws. The saucer scene includes two ladies which is a bit unusual as it is usually a male & female couple which is what we have on the cup. Each is shown in a bit of a landscape scene around them. Gold trim to the edges. Each piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue CC mark under the crown as well as some incised / impressed numbers and an incised cross. The cup is just under 1.75 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. They are both in great condition with some wear to the gilding mostly and some of the usual tiny black firing spots and a popped glaze bubble along the edge of the saucer that was gilded over. Please email me for more information or photos.
