Fruit Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by Ludwigsburg around 1765. Both are hand painted with a scene of some fruit with a very nice puce scroll work underneath them as well as some scattered little bugs. A simple design that somehow really speaks to me! Usual brown trim to the edges. The set is marked with the CC mark under the crown in underglaze blue as well as some impressed numbers / letters on the foot ring of the cup. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.625 inches. The saucer is just under 1 inch tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is in super condition but the cup sadly has two flat small rim chips to the one side as well as a hairline coming off one of them. Some scratching to the inside bottom of the cup as well. The set displays nicely! Please email me for more information or photos.
