Hurdy Gurdy Player Figurine

This is a figurine made by Ludwigsburg in the later 18th century. It is marked with the CC mark in underglaze blue as well as some impressed numbers and letters and a painter's mark. The figure is of a man playing a hurdy gurdy / barrel organ type instrument. A superbly modeled and painted piece and very typical for their figurines! The figure is 5.625 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide and 1.875 inches deep. He displays very nicely but has had work done to his left arm and the handle of the instrument. Very well done restoration and invisible when on display! Tiny chip to the edge of the base. None of this shows when on display and he is a really nice figurine. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $799
