Kakiemon Flowers Cup & Saucer

This is a fun cup and saucer set made by Ludwigsburg around 1770. Both are handpainted with a rather rare design I called Kakiemon flowers in my header but they are really more Indian flowers ( Indianische Blumen ). A nice design that covers the pieces perfectly with an added iron red rim design including puple flowers. This design is not one you find often at all and the colors are stunning! The cup also has a small flower on the inside bottom as always a sure sign of quality. Both are marked with the CC under a crown mark in underglaze blue. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. The set is in good condition with the saucer having some minor wear and a blackened stable hairline in the center as shown. The cup has a glazed over flaw original to the making but is otherwise fine. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $499
