Nicely Done Floral Plate

This is a nicely done plate made by Ludwigsburg between 1759 and 1770 and is marked with the CC mark under the crown in under glaze blue. It also has a puce line under the mark, a painter's mark D :. in green on the foot ring and the usual Impressed numbers, etc. as shown. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter. It is superbly hand painted with a floral arrangement in the center as well as lots of scattered flowers filling the rest of the space in the well. The rim has a basket weave relief design to it called the Osier relief which is typical of that period. There are six more flowers along the rim and a reddish brown trim to the edge. A really nice looking plate! It is in good condition with some flaking of the enamels along the edge and a spot of wear or two but displays superbly! Usual flaws from when it as made including bumps in the paste as show. Totally normal for their early wares! Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $399
