Andreas Oettner Decorated Coffee Pot

This is a superb coffee pot made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century - circa 1760. It is hand painted by the very famous Andreas Philipp Oettner with a large polychrome scene to the front including a couple in fancy dress - possibly dancers - with another person to their side all dressed in white that appears to be pierrot from the commedia dell'arte. Nice landscape surrounding with a building in the background. A couple of small flowers fill the rest of the piece as well as some gold trim. The lid has a small scene to it of a lady in a landscape surrounding. A bit of gold trim to the edge and a yellow and green finial. A superb pot but what makes it really special is the that is was painted by the Andreas Philipp Oettner! The pot is marked underneath with the under glaze blue CC under the crown as well as some impressed marks as shown. The piece with its lid in place is 8.875 inches tall and about 4.5 inches in diameter. The piece is in great condition with heavy wear to the gilding, a firing crack under the glaze around the finial and some of the usual firing flaws common to these early pieces. No chips, repairs, etc. and the scenes are in perfect condition so a very nice example! Please email me for more information or photos.
