Puce Scenic Saucer

This is a nice saucer made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century. It is marked with the under glaze blue interlaced double C mark under the crown as well as some impressed marks as shown. The saucer is hand painted with a large scene in puce in the center including a building and a person in a superb landscape surrounding. The rim has some really nice molded detail to the paste in relief with small single puce flowers in between. Not a trim one sees too often by them. Gold trim to the edge. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. It is in superb condition with some minor manufacturing imperfections and a teeny nibble to the outside edge as shown. Price is $499
