Rare Footed Cup

This is a great single cup made by Ludwigsburg around 1810. I bought this piece because the shape is superb but also because of the mark. The later Ludwigsburg pieces are very hard to find and while I have seen this mark in books I have not seen it in person so it was a must have for the site :) The cup is really nice with a bird on top of the handle, a "pearl" trim to the top and lots of nice gilding that is in great condition! It sits on three nice feet which just adds to the charm. The cup is in great condition all around with just a few nibbles to the feet nothing a little gilding would completely hide. The piece is marked with the FR. under the crown for Friedrich Rex in gold. The cup is 3.375 inches tall (including the bird on the handle) and 2.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
