Floral Scale Design Coffee Pot

This is a coffee pot with lid made by Ludwigsburg around 1760. The pot is marked with the CC mark under the crown in underglaze blue as well as some impressed marks as shown and a painter's mark. The main body of the coffee pot is decorated with the famous scale design to the paste called Schuppenmuster in German and it has a large hand painted floral arrangement on either side as well as a smaller single flower. The nicely shaped feet, spout and handle have puce trim on them. I always love the fact that their pieces sit on feet - gives it a much more fun look! The lid has the some hand painted flowers on it as well and nice finial with some puce trim to it. The pot with lid is 8.5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. The piece is in superb condition with a tiny chip to the top edge of the pot, two meaningless chips to the inside rim of the lid and some manufacturing flaws - one firing line to the inside spout and a large one to the bottom of the handle - not sure if the handle is completely cracked through because of it but it is totally stable and does not budge unlike a normal hairline. Three spots where the paint has flaked a normal issue to their early wares! The set displays perfectly and is stunning! Please email me for more information or photos.
