Scale Relief Floral Teapot

This is a really nice teapot made by Ludwigsburg in the 18th century. Their scale relief designs are superb and I ahve never come across a teapot in this design so was excited to come across it and buy it! The entire body and lid have that superb relief design to it, nice handle finial and that superb animal head spout have puce highlights to them. Either side of the main body ahve a nice hand painted floral arrangement to them with three small single flowers to the lid and four scattered across the main part, one of which coveres a firing flaw. Brown trim to the edges. The pot is marked with the under glaze blue CC under the crown mark as well as the usual impressed marks as shown. The pot is about 4.25 inches tall, 6.25 inches from spout to handle and 4 inches in diameter. The piece is in great condition but has a chip to the foot as shown, a tiny chip to the top and a firing crack to the spout plus the painted over firing flaw already mentioned. Displays superbly and is a rare survivor. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $999
