Scenic Cup with Blue & Gold Trim #2

This is a great cup and saucer set made by Ludwigsburg around 1775. The set is hand painted with a very high quality scene in the center of the saucer as well as the front of the cup including buildings, people and the usual landscapes but my favorite part is the unusual blue and gold highlighted trim to the edge on top of the basket weave raised design to the paste. I have not seen that before and it is rather nice! Two small gold leaves along the sides of the cup and another one on the inside of the cup. Nice handle shape also highlighted with gold. Both pieces are marked with the CC under a crown mark as shown. The cup is 1.75 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The set is in great condition with a small rim chip to the saucer edge that is gilded over and might be from the making, a very shallow mostly glaze chip to the outer edge of the saucer, a tiny edge chip to the cup rim and a restored spot to the cup rim where there must have been a flat chip to the top outer edge only. Does not affect the inside at all. The set displays perfectly and you'd have to really look hard to spot these small issues. Please email me for more information or photos.
