Teapot

This is a teapot made by Ludwigsburg in about 1765. It is handpainted with polychrome Watteau style scenes of a couple in a landscape background. Some small flowers as well and a gold trim. Fruit finial to lid. The pot is marked with the underglaze blue CC under the crown mark as well as an overglaze B78c and a red D:. along with impressed 3 and I9. The pot is 3.75 inches tall and 4.325 inches in diameter. The piece is in good condition with two chips to the lid rim. The lid might be a replacement but it is from the period and from Ludwigsburg so might be original but it doesn't have the gold trim instead a brown one. This teapot came with the cup and saucer I have on this site and they match perfectly. Please email me for more information or photos.
