Scenic Teapot

This is a teapot made by Ludwigsburg in about 1760. It is handpainted with polychrome Watteau style scenes of a lady sitting in a landscape on one side and a gentleman sitting in a landscape on the other side. The lid has the same style scenes on it. According to Dr. Hans Dieter Flach (the top Ludwigsburg expert) the piece was painted by Andreas Philipp Oettner which is pretty neat. It was very nice for him to tell me this so a big "Thanks You" to him right here :) Some small flowers as well and a brown trim. Pear finial to lid. The pot is marked underneath with the underglaze blue CC under the crown. The pot is just over 4 inches tall and a bit over 4.25 inches in diameter (without the spout and handle off course). The piece is in great condition with a teeny chip where the lid sits on the teapot, another teeny chip to a leaf on the finial and another teeny chip to the spout and lid rim. None of them take away from the piece at all. Please email me for more information or photos.
