Triangle Player Figurine

This is a figurine made by Ludwigsburg in about 1765. It is of a female putto playing the triangle with a small basket by her side. The figurine is made with a nice base which is not a very common thing to find at all. It is not two pieces but one so they were fired together during the making. The figurine is quite cute and the gold highlights on the base make this one elegant piece! The figurine is marked with the underglaze blue CC under a corwn mark underneath the base as well as an incised l. The piece is 5 inches tall and the base is about 2.25 inches square. The piece is in great condition with a bit of wear to the gilding and the triangle instument is restored. There is a firing crack between her butt and the green tree trunk from the making.
