Triangular Pot de Creme #1

This is a fun pot de creme or au jus made by Ludwigsburg in the mid 18th century. A nice early lidded cup that is triangular in shape which one does not see very often. I have only found this shape by Ludwigsburg and Loosdrecht but due to the paste and painting I am sure it was made by Ludwigsburg. The piece is just plain fun with some designs to the paste, small single flowers painted all around as well as on the lid, a nice finial shape as well as handle shape and some nice puce trim. A very unusual piece. The piece is unmarked which is not very common for this maker but I have seen it before so it does happen. The cup is 2.5 inches tall including the finial, about 3 inches long and 2.75 inches wide. The set is in great condition with just some flaking of the puce trim - mainly along the top edge but also to the tip of the finial and in two small spots along the bottom. One area in the bottom puce trim looks like it shrunk a bit when fired and left spots of white exposed. All in all in great condition for being a good 250 years old and a really neat piece to look at. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $249
