Triangular Pot de Creme #4

This is a pot de creme or au jus made by Ludwigsburg in the mid 18th century. A nice early lidded cup that is triangular in shape which one does not see very often especially with three feet to sit on. I have only found this shape by Ludwigsburg and Loosdrecht but due to the paste and painting I am sure it was made by Ludwigsburg. The piece is just plain fun with some designs to the paste, small single flowers painted all around as well as on the lid, a nice finial shape as well as handle shape and some nice puce trim. A very unusual piece. The piece is unmarked which is not very common for this maker but I have seen it before so it does happen. The cup is 2.5 inches tall including the finial, about 3 inches long and 2.75 inches wide. The set is in great condition with a small firing crack to the top inside edge and some spots of the puce paint having flaked as seen in the pictures. All in all in superb condition for being a good 250 years old and a really neat piece to look at plus not something you will see again anytime soon. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $229
