Triangular Pot de Creme #5

This is a pot de creme or au jus made by Ludwigsburg in the mid 18th century. A nice early lidded cup that is triangular in shape which one does not see very often especially with three feet to sit on. I have only found this shape by Ludwigsburg and Loosdrecht but due to the paste and painting I am sure it was made by Ludwigsburg. The piece is just plain fun with some designs to the paste, small single flowers painted all around as well as on the lid, a nice finial shape as well as handle shape and some nice puce trim. A very unusual piece. The piece is unmarked which is not very common for this maker but I have seen it before so it does happen. The cup is 2.5 inches tall including the finial, about 3 inches long and 2.75 inches wide. The set is in great condition with just a few small spots of the puce paint flaking along the edge of the lid and tip of the finial. The lid is a touch too small compared to the other pieces but it would have been very hard for this shape to come out perfectly back then. It displays perfectly! All in all in superb condition for being a good 250 years old and a really neat piece to look at plus not something you will see again anytime soon. Please email me for more information or photos.
