Fabrique de la Reine Bough Pot

This is a superb bulb / bough / flower pot made by Rue Thiroux of Paris , France in the 18th century. The factory is famous for having Queen Marie Antoinette as one of their Patrons. A nicely shaped piece with "columns" decorated with fancy gilding separating a large floral scene from two smaller floral scenes. Really some nicely hand painted flowers! And lots of gold trim all around. Green edge trim to the very top. The piece is in great condition with virtually zero wear to the gilding. It is obviously missing its lid and three of the holders of the lid have chips to the tip and there is a flat flake chip to the bottom back left corner. Not visible when on display and reallu a superb example! The piece is just over 5.25 inches tall, 9.5 inches wide and 4.875 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the green A under a crown mark as shown. There is some stray paint to the back side as shown as well. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
