Woodcut Fruit Plate

This is a nice porcelain plate made by Meissen around 1745. It is s bit unusual because of the handpainted fruit that one does not see often. Along with the plums there are some of the more common woodcut style flowers which are always superb! This piece is in great condition with a bit of wear to the brown rim trim as well as a little wear to the central decoration. Nothing that takes away from the piece especially when one considers the age! The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 8.875 inches in diameter. Marked underneath with the underglaze blue crossed swords as well as an impressed number 22 and an old dealer sticker. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $799
