1903 Royal Yellow Tiger Plate

This is a rare porcelain plate made by Meissen in 1903. It is hand painted with the superb yellow Tiger ( Gelber Löwe ) made for the Saxon Royal Court.This plate has an especially nice design in the center including the yellow tiger and some Kakiemon flowers as well as a few small flowers on the rim and a brown trim to the edge. This plate is in superb condition. It is just under 1.375 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter so a very nice size for display! It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed numbers and the black writing for the royal kitchen underneath - Königl.
