Militaria Plate #1

This is a really nice patriotic / commemorative under glaze blue painted plate made by Meissen in the early 20th century. It is a military type plate honoring the Kings Saxony Infantry regiment ( 8th Infantry , Regiment #107 , in Saxony , Germany ) on their 200 year anniversary with the initials / monogram of Prince Johann Georg and the dates 1708 and 1908. The initials are surrounded by a leaf design with scrolls to the bottom and a crown above. The rim has a really nice design to it as well with a nicely shaped edge. It's a great looking plate and not one you see often at all. Perfect for the colelctor of these types of plates. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as a blue painter's number and the usual impressed numbers as shown. First choice. It is 1.375 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. The plate is in perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $349
