Woodcut Flower Plate #3

This is an nice early plate made by Meissen in about 1750. It has a nicely shaped rim with gilding on the edge, a large floral arrangement in the early Deutsche Blumen style and lots of scattered single flowers some of which still show the influence of the woodcut style which probably means it actually dates slightly before 1750. The piece is marked with the straight blue crossed swords underneath which are a bit faint but they are there and an impressed number. The piece is in great condition with a small rim chip which doesn't take away from the piece and some wear to the gilding. The plate is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.125 inches.
