1740 Single Floral Candleholder

This is a rare candlestick made by Meissen around 1740. The candleholder is nicely modeled with lots of little details and hand painted with some small floral arrangements as well as some nice gold highlights. The flowers are still in the earlier woodcut style rather then the Deutsche Blumen so they look amazing! Gold highlights to some of the details and gold trim to the edges. Really a very attractive shape and the piece looks superb on display. The stick is in superb condition with a minor touch of gold wear and one spot of paint flaking on a flower. The piece is 6.375 inches tall with the base having a diameter of 4.75 inches. Very stable unlike many other candle holders these days. Each is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as shown as well as an impressed number as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
